The United States and the Taliban have reached an agreement on a timeframe for troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, the group\u2019s spokesman reportedly said on Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have an agreement on a time frame for the withdrawal,\u201d Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen told Pakistani newspaper Dawn from the venue of talks, Doha, over the phone. \u201cDiscussions are now focused on its implementation mechanism.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said that the sides had general discussions on Friday and would talk implementation on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The US and the Taliban are holding ninth round of talks in Doha. Key issues in the talks are counter-terrorism assurances, troop withdrawal, intra-Afghan negotiations and ceasefire.<\/p>\n
